The Vision Performance Manager provides the
environment in which to analyse, design and evaluate performance
contracts, and to monitor and control the performance of employees
in order that they may achieve both their own personal goals and
those of the organisation. The job profiles form a basis for
defining performance contracts for each job / position in the
organisation as well as for every employee.
Job/Position Performance Contract
Through the process of Job / Position Analysis a Master
Performance Contract is created which provides a detailed job
description and job specification for each Job (or Position) within
the organisation. The information is categorised according to the
balanced scorecard perspectives.
Performance Management
The creation and maintenance of Key Performance Areas (KPAs)
forms the basis of Performance Management. A set of Master
KPAs may be defined for each Job / Position within the
organisation. Other dimensions of the Job Profile such as Company
strategy and Competency models may also be included in the
performance contract. Using the same dimensions, an
Individual Performance Contract can be created for each
employee. This forms the basis on which an employee's
performance is measured.
When a performance review is to be conducted, the relevant
performance contract topics are loaded into a Performance Review
form with the date of the appraisal and with all scores set at
zero. Scores can then be entered for the individual topics,
and the system will automatically calculate a weighted average for
that review.
Reviews can be loaded at any time as a 360 or one-on-one, all
stored on the system creating an invaluable performance history
from which a variety of statistics and graphs may be generated.
