Employees and managers or teams are empowered by giving them
access, whether read only or update, to whatever they are entitled
to. This has the benefit of freeing up the Human Resource and/or
payroll departments from administrative tasks as well as providing
employees and managers with access to valuable information,
allowing them to make informed decisions.
Employee Self Service
The Self-service module may be configured completely to the
user's requirements. Employees have their own user id and password
and may only see and update what they have rights to.
Manager Self Service
Managers can see details of their team members. Security is set
so that they will only have access to their own employees.
Personal Details
Employees manage their own family, addresses and personal
details.
Payslips / IRP5s
Employees may request their own payslips and IRP5s. They may
also submit their own timesheets for approval.
Leave Requests
Employees may view their leave balances and apply electronically
for leave. The request will be routed to their managers for
approval. Notifications may be sent back via email and/or SMS.
Training Requests
The responsibility is placed on employees to manage their
training and development. They may view their development plans and
request training. This request is emailed to their managers for
approval before they are notified whether their application has
been granted or denied.
Performance Review Ratings
Performance review ratings can be updated by employees /
managers directly into the Self Service module. The system
will calculate overall scores from the ratings captured.
Notifications
Based on the organogram, notifications for approval / outcomes
are automatically emailed to the relevant employee as the processes
are updated in the system. Built in are escalations where
required. In addition to the email notifications, Vision will
also insert any bookings (training, leave, etc) into the employee's
outlook diary.
